Horse Boarding LA

The Empty Saddle Club

Among the options for horse boarding LA, on the Palos Verdes Peninsula is the Empty Saddles Club. This is one of the oldest and largest (in terms of acreage) in the area. It has cattle on the property and large arenas for sorting, cutting and penning.

This stables reminds me of a country club in that boarders pay an initial fee to join (after the membership has voted you in), and also monthly boarding fees. This is a social organization and members are expected to participate in the many activities held throughout the year. Formerly membership was reserved for men only, but that has changed.

The Empty Saddles Club is a friendly organization that kindly opens its doors to other equestrians in the area and occasionally to the public. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Horsemen's Association holds its monthly meetings here. You can pay a cattle fee and join members for cattle roping, cutting and penning once a week; and in October The Empty Saddle Club holds its Cowboy Days celebration and invites the public.
